After I spray it on, do I need to clear coat it?

do they instructions say anything about clearcoat? i though ive heard od someone blacking out their tails and making sure to use clearcoat for extra protection.

 

It depends. When I tinted my tails, it came out a flat smoked color. I put about 2 coats of Krylon clear coat spray, and that put a good gloss on it. I used the same spray to tint my bumper lenses, and they came out glossy. I don't know why, you'll just have to play it by ear.

 

I just finished blacking out my tails. The look very very flat. But the blackout coating came out very even( )

Should I wait till they dry 100% before clear coating them?

I'd spray the clear coat on when it's still sticky to the touch. Probably 90% dry.

 

I wouldn't clear coat them. I usually just buff them out with a rubbing compound and they come out pretty shinny and then polish them.
