2 tone paint help
I've got a '92 240SX SE coupe, the paint isn't too bad, but bad enough for me to want to paint it ghetto style (rattle can). I was telling my dad about teh car and telling him I would probably just go flat black with it, and he said something about paintign the top white to keep it cooler. I laughed at the idea, then it started to sink in. So I did some mock ups of black and white paint jobs on the car, but with the smooth front end on the car, it looses it's lines in the nose and makes a 2 tone kinda iffy. Anyway, check out the image and tell me which fits the car best, or if you think something else would look better (same concept only) then either tell me about it or download the Photoshop format and edit it to your favor.

The car is currently a dark grey color. Flat black will cover blemishes best, the white will be harder to work with and harder to keep clean. I might do some mock ups of black on top white on bottom, but that kinda defeats the whole point of keeping the car cooler in the hot sun.

I have done many spray paint jobs on trucks before. Flat spray paint is easier to work with than gloss. With gloss you ahve to deal with runs in the paint as well as a funky top coat of gloss sometimes. If I do the car in 2 tone I will do it flat and then add a clear coat once I have it just right.

I decided out of curiousity to swap the colors around and now after seeing it and liking it so much, I wish I hadn't.
Then after I lower it a little and paint the wheels.

Here's a photochop I did to my old crx. I think this is what we are going to do to my friend's EF. Army green on top, flat black on bottom. Looks good if IMO.
EDIT
Here's the originaly pic. My car never got much attention on HT.
