There you can sign up for an email notification when the photographs are ready for purchase.

Administrator: Could we please get a link to the site prominately posted up top, perhaps in place of the Expo link? This will allow non-HT people to easily find it without me having to top this post and the post announcing availability constantly. Any help you can render would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah Zyg, checks/MOs will be accepted, they just will delay delivery a little (I'll have to add this to the site).

As for yous other two: My father volunteered his time and personal money to help out the expo organizers by shooting a buttload of pictures of people racing at the Expo, allowing them to have documentation of the event while not having to pay for a professional track photographer. As I have stated in earlier posts, which perhaps you didn't see, we are not going for profit here, but at least would like to break even on film/processing costs, as well as a little extra compensation for my father working while he was on vacation. While I don't have any idea how much a HT ad costs, I don't think we need to buy one any more than the ITR Expo organizers did to get out awareness for their event. If you and the admins disagree, so be it. But I seriously doubt we will even break even on this endeavour, and that is fine. I just don't see any point in dropping farther into the hole when we are giving so much already.

There is no need to defend yourself. Frankly it amazes me that Warren and ip_burn, both of whom did NOT even have the spirit to attend the Expo, could even feel that they have the right to comment on this.

Personally, I would like to thank you and your father for taking the time to drive all the way from Texas to attend and photograph the attendees of the Expo.

my thinking is....i could be wrong....but my thinking is you have a list of attendies to this expo that you photographed. maybe this would be better off taken to email which i'm sure you have a list of. Your welcome to use the sale page....but i'm not sure if the selling of the photos for profit fits being in the itr forum. yes...you and your father put forth alot of effort....but your effort is now being sold for a fee....thats no different then any other business. just my thoughts..but i guess i'll run this by others.

 

Not being a dick about this(for bringing it up in the first place)....but i asked and we agree that since this really is a big issue amongst alot of people....its cool. its just that i've shot down many advertisements for headers, hoods etc and deleted posts because of it. i just don't want this to become...ok...i'll take 10bucks worth and me 5 and me 15 etc. its ongoing. its cool though that you've put together some nice stuff for everyone and its cool with me just asking for it to not be rediculous and this become a big sale thing...rather then more about what a fun time everyone had.

 

Sorry, but I'm afraid the "event" wasn't quite that "organized", and even though there was a paid entry list on the EXPO site, there is still no way to match the named attendees with their cars.

With respect to them making money, .... didn't some of us (if not one of the organizers themselves), actually ask them to do this for us? So I don't see that it's out of place. JMHO ed

I understand your concerns lip. Once I have a link on the main page, I'll not post about it again. I used HT as a rallying point for the attendees (since at the time I had no site and no idea where it would be hosted), and have only been posting updates so that it is visible to those that are looking for it. No actual sales or notifications of interest will occur on the message board. That will all be handled through the photo site and my email address. Fear not, you will not have people posting on this board that they want x and x a photo and what the cost is etc. Just a link at the top to be there for a couple of weeks will be more than adequate.
