I installed a MUGEN head gasket and I am getting a check engine light. Does anyone know of any issues with this gasket. My friend said it might have to do with the fuel pressure since the car has higher compression now and that I should probably purchase a fuel pressure regulator to make sure I am getting the correct pressure.

Other mods - CAI, DC JDM 4-1, Carsound Cat, MUGEN cat-back and TODA Cam gears.

 

what does the code say?

 

Will get the CODE tomorrow, but I think It had something to do with car running to lean.

 

The head gasket will also affect cam timing, though I'm not sure why that would cause it to throw a code.

 

Find out what the code is, troubleshoot it, a little bit then post a question.

P0131 - O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0137 - O2 SEnsor Bank 1 Sensor 2

 

Going to a thinner head gasket advances your cam timing. Check your ignition timing too.

And reset your ECU.

 

Humm ok, So then I should set my timing back to stock because after installing the gasket I actually bumped it up 2 degrees. So that means that my timing is that much more advanced.
