When driving today my exhaust would constantly backfire and the car would kind
of buck a little as well. I remember this happening awhile ago but it didnt last as
long as today. I had a vafc put on about a month ago and I am pretty sure
everything is set to stock but to reset the vafc do you have to initialize it? But
what else could be the problem?

 

My exhaust backfires a lil, but i think it's just breaking in. Is your exhaust new??

 

I have had my exhaust for about 6 months not that new. But i mean it constantly backfired, I know it backfires sometimes.

 

what kind of exhaust is it?? The piping may be too big, because i had the Tanabe Super Racing Medallion on Dad's '02 2.5rs and the piping was 3", and the exhaust was ment for the WRX. So that sucker backfires almost every time you let off the gas.

 

My friend is building a 2.5rs rallycar. Stock intake, Borla headers, carsound cat, 2.25 scoobysport exhaust. Backfires like a ************! I love it..

 

Its a Greddy Evo I dont think its to big. I bought it from a place and they told me it was for my car. I have never had a problem with this except one other time. The car has never bucked and shaked this bad before.
