y7 in 91 hatch
I want to put in a d16y7 motor block and head from a 96-up civic dx an a6 Si tranny, and a y8 intake manifold all into my 91 std hatch. I have a couple of questions about it here they go:
1. can i use a obd0 pm6 ecu with this motor instead of the obd2 ecu that comes in 96-up dx;s?
2. can i put in a stock a6 Si cam or an aftermarket cam made for the a6 in the y7 head?
set-up i had in mind-(im planing on going turbo later)
D16y7 motor
a6 Si tranny
y8 IM maybe if ever out Skunk2 IM
a6 stock Si cam
Skunk2 cam sprocket
Pm6 ecu chipped w/ mugen spec
Aem Cai/y8 header/Rs*R catback exhaust

Yes, you can use the pm6 ECU and the pm6 distributor on this motor. You will however need to splice in the connectors on a few of the sensors and whatnot...coolant temp and things like that. From my understanding the y7 has about the same output as the a6 did so therefore an a6 cam wouldn't really help you out.
Not sure about the aftermarket cam compatibility.
Not to be an *** but also the search button will reveal a world of useful information on this site.
