Default Grinding issue with Panasport Ultralites and CRX

Anyone wanna confirm for me about why there is an issue with Panasports fitting a CRX. The problem as I know is that the inside flange that sits flush against the rotor top hat has a larger diameter and thus interferes with the caliper. I ran into this problem with a 90 Si and one set of ultralights i have. I ended up having the inner portion of the caliper ground to clear the wheel. The other set of panasports i have, and others ive seen had the extra corner ground on the wheel so it cleared the caliper.

anyone wanna comment if this problem is only for 90-91 crx, whereas 88-89 have different calipers, perhaps they will clear those but not the 90's. trying to help out uncleben here.

This is a problem w/ 27mm offset Ultralites and I had to have mine shaved down. My 38mm offset UL's w/ spacers have no problems w/ the 90-91 front calipers on my 89 CRX.

I did not have to do any modifications to my panasports on my 88. The clearance in the rear is VERY close, but they do not rub (even under stress). I will see if I can verify the offset for you, but I believe they are 38's.

Back when I was running ITA regularly, my arch-rival (read: the winner of every race I finished second in) had a '90 CRX Si on ground Panasports and he blamed the brake and wheel combo. I have raced '88, 89, and '90 models on other wheels with no issues.

Really?
I'm running 13s on my '91 and seeing no problems at all. Same rotors/calipers as the Si.

Are the insides of the Panasports really THAT shallow?

to those who say there is not clearance problem, was the inside of the wheel rounded off at the edge of the inner flange already?

catch, did i buy my panasports from you or someone else on this board? ive got a bad memory...
