Default Any trip on restoring a faded ITR valve cover (Comparison Pics)

Why does my valvecover look faded compared to most ITR valve covers. And my Heat Shield for the headers not as glossy black? Is there anyway to restore this?

I would love to have my engine bay look like that. Does anybody have any tips on this? THX!

Here is my valve cover (faded)

Here is a random pic from HT

I was wondering if anybody had some before/after pics. How in the hell would the cover fade? I wash it often with simplegreen

We cleaned the whole engine bay with that tire foam stuff and some other stuff. I forget the link but there is a whole write up on how to do it. We also stripped the paint off the valve cover. I know your lookin for a before and after shot of a red ITR valve cover but we stripped it before we cleaned the engine bay. Sorry. I would suggest doing this though. It makes the engine really shine!!
