I would never buy your type R because its way too slow and then climb into his Ford Focus and drive off. just wondering....

That didnt happen to me, but I had one dude tell me that my R would beat my Mustang off the line, but that the Mustang would catch up, which is exactly the opposite of what would happen. he claimed he was an R owner and then asked me "do you know how to drive this thing correctly?" when I didnt agree with his assessment of the R vs. the Stang. idiot

Speaking of the Ford Focus, I had a dude in his focus try to race me last night. We were going about 40 mph (I was in 4th gear) and he downshifted (probably to 2nd). At first I did not bother downshifting and I was pulling away from him while in forth gear. And them I'm like, "I don't want this guy in his ford to think he is almost as fast as a Type R" so I downshifted and said buh-bye...

He stoped messing with me after that happend.

Josh, I had the same thing happen with a riced out cavalier - I should've posted a kill on that one...

 

I have people ask me all the time if its a 97 or 98. I guess not everyone knows theres
00-01 type Rs.


I dont mind friendly races even if its not any known fast cars. Who knows they may have
something interesting under the hood.

 

I think everyone gets crap from "non Type R drivers"......Why? I just try to ignore it.......The other day I was driving my car and my mom was with me, we were just going to pick her car up from the dealer, some guy in a GSR with all this crap on his car pulled up next to me and then cut me off. I told my mom not to get upset becuase it always happens.......She was pissed. I don't hate on other cars, I just hate on the people that drive like !@#*

 

I went to get a hamburger from a local Sonic Drive-In last night, and when I pulled in there was a total car-fest going on. Corvette C5s, a number of other hi-end muscle cars, a couple of Mustang Cobras, etc. etc. The import part was lacking, other than a few clean S2000s and a lime green Eclipse (can't remember if it was a GSX or GS-T) with an aluminum racing spoiler. I spent the entire time waiting for my food with the hood up trying to convice a number of kids that no, I hadn't touched a thing in the car, yes, the car came this way, no I didn't repaint it, no it didn't do the 1/4 in 10 seconds, yes I run it on the track, yes, that involves turning, no seriously, I haven't done a damn thing to the car.....
etc etc etc.

Was so happy to get my food and get out of there. It is nice to be able to pull into something like that and get so much attention though...

 

dammit! bring me some stuff from sonic next time i see you timber! heh...i want sonic out here...
