Has anyone heard of any tests/articles done on the new RSX Type S vs. the ITR? I went to a BMW driving school this last weekend, and my instructor told me that he read one that said they compared the two on a track, and the RSX Type S kicked the ITR's ***!?

I wasn't sure if he was blowing smoke up my *** or what, but I was just curious if anyone had any articles that they could post links to.

 

he's bullshitting you. it would be close, but the ITR would still have the edge. the only advantage the RSX-S has is the 5 extra hp and a bit more torque. However this is canceled out by the weight difference.

 

not to mention a little thing called an LSD...(which the RSX does not have)

 

I know this isn't the best comparo, but back in '98 (?) Motor Trend had a Prelude SH vs. ITR. Needless to say ITR won the comparo around the track. I know that RSX-S weighs 350lb less than Prelude, but Prelude has 2.2l vtec w/ torque and ATT system which supposely works magin on a road course... All I'm trying to say it, RSX-S might be close but no cigar.

 

hey wes..hows it going..ive been hearing the same thing..guess go to show how much stiffer that new chassis is..i wouldnt doubt that the new rsx is kicking the type r ***..so the rsx type r should be even better..
