Hey I'll go measure mine hold on a few minutes

 

Ok I measured from the side (my lip is a mugen knockoff)

The lip itself it about 3.75 in wide
Now where I drilled it into my bumper is about 2 in up from the edge so the over hang is actually 3.75-2=1.75

So it isnt too low

answer is no b/c if you look there is a lip on the lip that over laps the space in my bumper where the grille is so it rests on top of that and if you put it higher it will look stupid.....get what I'm saying? I know its confusing

Pics when you get it Mine is great, it puts up with all my abuse great for being a fakie

 

Just an FYI, Mugen lips are specific in regards to the 96-98 and 99-00 Civics and the design is different too. The 96-98 lips won't fit on the 99-00 Civics and vice versa but this won't apply if you get the replica lips. I noticed alot of people mentioning Mugen lips as well as Mugen replica lips as though there was only one universal design for 96-00 Civics. This is not so.

Oh and for my car, I have the 96-98 Mugen lip and it's low. When I had my 15's, I scraped it everywhere. With my current 17's, I don't have as much clearance problems now...
