Need Some Suspension Tips
I bought an APC dual adjustable coil-over kit (first mistake) and i put it on myself w/ the help of my high school autoshops tools... I got everything evened out and started driving, the ride SUCKED of course... Well little did i know my camber was eating away at my front tires... Well i found out that my tires were bald on the inside. I swapped my tires to the back, and raised my car for now and it has been about a month and a half, and there is no more wear on my tires... do i need a camber kit, and alignment (no pulling).... thanks *dont worry about the car im just gonna sell it to a gurl and get an ek Si...
its just a good idea if your car is lowered even an inch to get a camber kit, if you put your car to stock height again dont worry about getting one. And if you lower your car your alignment is going to be out of wack, it might not feel like it but it will be.
If your drop is minimal (1.5-1.8"), then you should be okay w/o a camber kit for the front. Just check and rotate more frequent than normal. You can fix the rear by doing the washer trick. But definitely get your car aligned. Just have them adjust toe to spec and get some camber numbers while you are at it. I have a 1.8" drop and my camber in the front is -1 so I'm not that worried about it. Good luck.
