Good price on extended warranty?
Anyone know what a good price on the extended warranty would be? Also, any suggestions on dealers that will sell it at a good price?
Thanks :-)
Thanks :-)
Heres what I did. I called my local acura dealer, and they quoted me $2000 when my car had 4x,000 miles on it.
I found a list of all the acura dealers in north america, and emailed all of them(took an hour or two.). I ended up getting the full acura warantee for $1070.
Obviously it pays to shop. Also make sure they're quoting you the warantee by acura, not some 3rd party crap.

My warantee has already paid for itself.
1. dowl on oil pump broke, ate up timing belt. <- still under factory warantee
2. throw out bearing went bad
3. clicking sound from axl area(didnt fix it, but 3 hours of looking at it for free).
And I've still got 45,000 miles left on the warantee.

I never want the extended warranty for Honda, and Acura because some of my friends (honda and Acura) are mechanic which know how to fix and charge me less expensive to fix.. The reason why I dont want extended warranty becuase if you take your car to fix at the dealership in a little while but mostly time, take your car to performance shop to fix or install.. You will waste your money for extended warranty.. One time, I sold my 98 Civic and it still have extended warranty.. I called them to cancel the warranty and they never give me the money back...
That's why I learn from it and never want to buy extended warranty..

LOL, I demand attention Chris, i mean, I own an ITR, that makes me important
In terms of the usefulness of the extended warranty; I think it is worth it; especially since I have already had the tranny, alternator and passenger side interior panel replaced under the regular warrenty.
Anyone know what all the extended warranty covers?

No one's been able to correctly diagnose this problem yet, huh? I gotta change my brake pads to prove to them that that's not the problem.
(sorry to jack your thread, Chris... bump... call Andie

Nope! I waited 3 hours while they looked at it, and the finial answer was "its normal". I couldnt believe they said that, because I've never ever heard a car thats does this, and why did it take 3 years for it to start, and why dont all 4 brakes do it, etc. Bullshit excuse. I think its probably an expensive repaire, and they dont want to do it. I'm going to wait 20,000 miles or so, and if its still doing it, I'm going to take it to Radley where the techs are better trained(I assume anyway). I also was thinking about unhooking the entire right caliber and putting a plug in the brake line, and see if it still does it.
