Pros: Free up a couple horsepower
Cons: Underdriving your alternator can cause premature wear, and will mess with a high-power stereo system if you have one. Using an underdrive crank pulley without a factory harmonic balancer can have disasterous effects on your engine.

your steering is gonna be a little stiffer...like they said your gonna have problems running alot of electronics at once (you might need to rev your engine to roll windows up and such)....you get a couple extra horses (by a couple i mean 2..at the most.) you won't have any major problems though...and you'll get used to the steering.

I don't know where you got that, or if you experienced this personally, but I have never experienced this on my car. Note that I did not, however have the underdrive crank pulley.

About the underdrive crank pulley, some like Gimpy have experienced crank seal leaks, but others, if I recall right have experienced worst problems like cracked cranks, or prematurely worn main bearings, the kind of problems that jeopardize the complete engine.

from experience..just the AEM underdrive pulley set. i dont know how it is that you didnt experience any of these problems though, the issue with the alternator varies to certain degrees upon the specific vehicle so you may not have noticed it as much. the power steering feel however, is common to anyone with the power steering pulley..not a big thing...some people actually prefer the different feel. These are however underdrive pulleys and they do exactly that, under-power your accessories. just letting him know the worse that will come of it, even though it's not much.

the crank pulley i would avoid like the plaque.
