b20z on b18a1 block
What part of the b20 are you talking about? Putting a b20 into a b18 engine bay? or what?
If you are talking about a b20z head on a b18a1 block, it won't yield to much power, most b20s, jdm and usdm use the p75 head, which is the same head as the b18b motors. The b20 is favored for it's bottom end, the 84mm bore on the piston adds more displacement. So if you're planning on doing any kind of motor changing, you might as well save yourself some trouble and actually just keep the b20 together and just swap it.
