Hey B-series guys Question about the thermo sensor??
Ok so a while back it was pointed out to me I had forgotten to wire up the sensor on the rear of the block.
So after doing some other work I had to do on the crx, I proceeded to wire up the sensor, according to what I had read. Well one way the fan stays on, the other it doesn't , but either way I'm still throwing a code 6.
I just want to rule out the wiring, so if you could just set me straight on it it would be great.
And before the usual try a search trust me I did, I went through about 4 pages and couldn't find what I needed.
Thanks in advance guys
.
Edit: forgot to say this is a b18c in an 88 hf.

It sounds like you are a little confused here. The thing on the back of the block is NOT the thermosensor. The thermosensor on ALL motors is located on the passenger side of the head below the distributer. It is the thermoswitch that is located on the back of the block on pre-1992 motors (and on the thermostat housing on 1992+ motors). The thermoswitch turns the fan on and off while the thermosensor tells the ECU the coolant temperature. Connecting the thermosensor wires to the thermoswitch will DEFINITELY result in a code 6.
