well it has been one year to the day, since i have driven my turbo hatch. this is the short block for now, i am waiting for my head gasket for now. it will be here tomorrow. here are the stats. Darton sleeved b16a, 84mm JE 9.1 pistons, crower rods, full ARP stud kit, top and bottom, and a moroso oil pan. once i get it through inspection, 20psi boost 780cc/min injectors and an AEM will be putting power to the wheels. more pics to follow. this is the best part. i love assembling engines.
there is the sleeved bottom end. since i couldnt get the racing hart cp-f-tuner-r's, i got the konig holes. i kinda like the polished lip.
here is the fuel system. i stepped up and did braided fuel line. i am trying to keep no stone unturned on this. the AEM and the 780's are on the way. dont mind the manifold, i have to go through state inspection as my tags expired, but it is staying NA long enough to break it in properly.

An 84mm B16 ah?? Hell yeah, ive always wondered why more people dont go for that. What all did you have done to the combustion cambers on the head?? Looks nice.

Looks nice, that is almost the same setup that my freind Eric is running. He is BoostedEgo on H-T.

1707 cc's. thanks SSA 1
small ammount of bowl work, and street port on the head.
i sleeved the b16 because, i had it built last year. already had the rods, and had enough money to work this one. i could have done a GSR but i didnt have the money for the block, plus i had already paid $630 for the crower rods for the b16.

last engine was 14.0 @107mph (no diff)
WHP was 223.7 with boost at 5 psi both times.
i would like to see over 400 this time and still be streetable.
depends on how good what tuner i find is.

Dizzam...so wait, you dont get the 2.0 effect when you bore a b16 to 84mm right? Its because it will still have the stock stroke.
So in reality he will only be like a 1.7L?
and to get a b16 to 2.0L he will have to bore it out like he did + add a gsr or b20/ls crank and rods?
Please explain im lost
Anyways a grand idea had popped into my head of selling my 1.8vtec block and picking up and old b16 block for cheap and building up a monstor bottom end but i guess more is needed than just boring it aye?

i dont quite understand your question. there's no 2 liter 'effect' after boring to 84mm. the gsr stroke is a little shorter the the b20/ls cranks. to get 1.975 liters out of that he could use the b20/ls crank but he'd have to run really short custom rods because the deck height is alot shorter on the b16a blocks than the rest. thats probably why you never see any 2 liter b16a's. you can bore a gsr to 84mm and have a displacment of 1933 cc's while using the stock crank and still have decent r/s ratio. i guess what im trying to say is that i dont reccomend trying to get 2 liters out of a b16a block.
