Anyone sporting an OEM CTR N1 crank pulley?
I was wondering if this is an upgrade worth doing? Can I expect some desent power gains? Or is our stock ITR pulley's already lightened from the factory? I put AEM pulley's on my delsol Vtec (not crank) and it helped considerably.... I am hoping for the same.
Any experiences or comments to add?

The USDM ITR crank pulley is lighter and smaller in diameter as compared to the USDM GS-R.
If you are not running AC or PS the CTR N1 pulley is a great idea. The best thing about it is the timing marks are as accurate as the ones on your OEM pulley.

But back on subject...if Honda felt it was ok to release the N1 crank pulley.... on the CTR...I think it's gonna be ok...!

Why bother with the Honda one? Just get a Unorthodox pulley it weighs less than half even with the accessory provisions. THey also make a race one with only the alt belt. Honda's don't have Harmonic balancers and the harmonic dampener does nothing.
I too have been thinking of getting the N1 CTR crank pulley for my hybrid. I have no A/C or P/S so I think it would be a good upgrade. Hmm... Another mod I didn't know Jack had.
As for the bearings being ruined, I still believe it was due to something other than the crank pulley. Those pics demonstrate nothing other than the damage incurred. I've been using them for years and under very severe conditions (9200+ RPM, extended high RPM use). Don't you think I'd suffer SOME kind of problem with bearings on ONE of my cars? What about all the other cars I sell them to? NOt one has complained of any kind of bearing wear whatsoever. My GSR had 108,000 miles on it. Bearings were fine. It's a load of BS in my opinion. If you want to be paranoid go ahead. I'm very paranoid but not at the expense of common sense.
This has been the best information I have read on the subject. And I have been looking hard for it..
Thanks a bunch!

I saw a video of Christian Rados shop, and they were putting a pulley onto a GSR Motor....It was a Stock Crank Pulley ... Food for Thought...Its not worth 3 Horsepower.

HP is not the main goal of a crank pulley, acceleration is where you will feel the difference....light flywheel, same thing Big hp difference?no. but faster car?? yes

Solid....So you would have to make the call on bearing wear
