91 SI Cluster in 88 STD???
I'm aware that it's necessary to change a few of the pin-outs to get this to work properly. However, i'm not sure what it takes to make the tachometer work. I had heard that the necessary connector was simply buried under the cluster, but I can't seem to find it. Did the STD model even have a tach as an option? I assume that if it did then they would include the necessary wiring in all the cars simply to make things cheap and simple.
Does anyone have a clue? Should I just keep searching away behind the cluster? Anybody got any pictures of the connector or where it might protrude from behind the cluster?

u cant use a 90-91 cluster into ur 88-89...
u can of course rewire all cables and make it work, but then cosmetics issues comes in...like how u going to fit it on the dash...
i say, try selling it and buying a 88-89 one.... will be best ans easier.... just plug and play
