does anyone know the price of a bare type r head which basically consist of the rocker arm assembly? do they sell bare type r heads if that?

Yes they sell the bare head. But perhaps calling the dealer you'd be buying it from would be the way to get the price for it.

 

You don't want to buy a bare head assy. I don't know why but it is actually more expensive than a complete head. *shrugs*

2000 spec ITR head out here in cali is $1787.29 retail.....part # 10003-p73-305.

That is the head with valves, springs, and retainers assembled. Cams, rocker arms, shafts, lost motion assemblies wrapped up in bags. No gears, no vtec solenoid.

The complete head assembly is $1,375 for 00-01 spec head and $1,350 for 97-98 spec head through us. Everything on the top end minus valve cover and sensors and solenoids.

People think it's crazy but if you sell your head for $500-600 complete, you're basically paying $700 for a new head. Crazy eh?
