Default English Town Quick class Results

You mean to tell me that Mark and paul ran in the quick class and dominated? Why didnt they run in the street class? Every class seems to have a car or two dominating that can hold its on in the class above it...It has been a strange season so far.

Just can't wait to finally get my car up and running and to the track.......

Dominated???? Nope....
Titan and MSP qualified with 8.7 and 8.8's but also ran some 9's during the weekend ... Gary ran 8.8's and JoJo and Bruce ran 8.9's... Just the way the matchups went. No one dominated they ran the same e/ts as everyone else.

Now I think the reason why Titan had to run quick class was his transmission but i could be mistaken. But I know the talk in the off season was that Street Tire cars couldn't run certain aftermarket transmissions.

I believe this was a unique class format that combined front and rwd cars. It did not follow the norm

the bottom line is that FWD 4cyl and RWD 6cyl do not need to be in the same class. regardless if they ran the same e.t.s or not. its still an unfair advantage, just look at the MHP. that tells the truth right there.
plus i wanna say congrats to BRIAN BALLARD for the win and always giving props to JASON HUNT for puttin on a good show. Also BRIAN, you gave me an excellent interview. you did a great job and you also look pretty cute on camera (LOL).
Aaron from IMPORT INNOVATERS and known to Jason as the black guy with tube chassis RWD CIVIC.

i do not beleve that fwd and rwd should be in the same class, rwd by far have an advantage even with weight, they can put it over the axel and it only helps

Well, In IDRC I know Demetrios Karaganis in his RX7 has been running quick class for the last 2 seasons so the rules definately weren't different than any other event.

Next I could understand saying a RWD car with lexan and slicks weighing 2400lbs would be unfair.
But both Titan and MSP, have full glass + interior weigh 2900lbs (titan) not sure of MSP but i think like 3100lbs. Are on drag radials...

Not necessarily saying they should be in the class. But I think it made for a good weekend of racing.

I agree with the fact that those cars don't belong in the same category as the FWD quick class cars. IMO, I think they should be put back to the street class and make some sort of adjustment for the non OEM transmission like a weight penalty or something. Much more balanced that way.

Nero here

The classes have been the same for a while, but they made drastic changes in Pro Street Tire so that's why we fit in the street class. Paul E and Titan both agreed to bring it to the quick class to prove a point. That a good team can run well anywhere. The Honda's had faster and quicker cars but ran into problems that were not recoverable. The Supra's ran well and showed what a BFG Tire could do.

The rules state we can run slicks, we choose to run Drag radials and change nothing to our cars just to run.

BTW: Weight minimum was 3000lbs so we even added a little ballast to make sure we were covered

I want to take this opportunity to thank Jason, Charlie, Steve Lockett, Fred Ellis, and Nate Romero for helping me rebuild my Aeromotive fuel pump at the track on Sunday morning. Oh, and Sav too, I didnt use your epoxy because Nate had some with the work "quick"on it LOL.
It was almost too hot but this kind of camraderie reminds me why I show up.
(that and all the tail parading around)

Congrats to all the winners, as for me I ran me best 60' time, and also my best trap speed of this year... unfortunately they werent on the same run.

See you at the track guys, Kevin

IDRC has always allowed RWD cars in the class as long as they are not back halfed .Joel Tazman on the west coast is the best example. It just happened to be last weekend the RWD's cleared house.
