Hey guys have any of you blown the o2 sensor out of the header and the threads on the o2 are fine has anyone done this and is it anything to worry about?

 

what do you mean blown... like it popped out of the header?

 

hmmm...can't say i've ever had that happen before.

 

Can't say Ive ever had it happen or even heard of it happening....

 

like maybe it was not torqued down properly and the exhaust seemed to vibrate it out so when i punched the gas today i heard this loud exhaust leek i thought the worst and got home to find out that the o2 sensor was out eh hole so i looked at the threads on the o2 and it looked good so i put it in and torqued it down and the funny thing is that i did not throw a code either?

ive blown a header in 1/2.. i was running a stock cx exhaust manifold with an extra cat on the car cause i was going to smog my car
(d16z6) and i was at like 6000 rpm in 4th gear on the freeway and heard an explosion haha
