2000 HPI RS4 Pro 1/10th Scale Electric RC Touring Car w/mods $200.00

I hate to sell this but I will never drive it again since I have another electric touring car that I don't race - and is 3 times the value of this one.
The car is a 2000 model year RS4 Pro and it has a great race history in my hands. It comes with most everything you need (but is NOT RTR). You will need to add a controller, receiver and battery charger.
$200 takes it. You pay shipping. Price too high? Let's talk. Trades considered. Tell me what you have (not necessarily RC). If you are local and come pick it up I will throw in 3 additional bodies and a Team Associated 10L LTO pan car.
This car is NOT a beater. The shocks and springs alone were over $70. The ESC was a $130 unit and the motor is not a "screw around in the street in front of your house" motor. I have been into RC for WAY too long to have low-grade ****.
Tons of info and hi-res pics can be found here. Note that there is more info on the sale terms here as well (don't complain if you don't know how the sale will work because the info is on the site):

All 4 bodies included with local pickup deal. Shipped deal only includes the Cougar on the left

Free Associated 10L LTO included w/local pickup deal on the RS4:
200 is way too much for that car the way it sits. If you paid 230 for the esc, then you were ripped off. Why did you change the shocks? It already came with goodies out of the box.
I see you have the updated front end, pretty cool

I changed the stock shocks because they sucked ***. I would give them to you except I threw them out. They were awful.
Good HPI shocks = crappy racing equipment
If $200 is too much then don't buy it.

Make an offer.
Someone put this car to good use. It deserves better than to sit on top of my kitchen cabinets.

Depends on how good the stuff is that you buy and whether you buy it used or new.
A new Futaba Magnum Sport controller and receiver package starts at about $44 at Tower Hobbies:

A basic AC/DC charger is about $25:

Used - you may be able to get everything for $40-$50.
The better the stuff the more you will need to spend.

No it is an RS4 Pro. Read the web site that I posted. All the mods listed in the first section are the ones that make it a "Pro" as opposed to a "Sport".
Don't confuse it with an RS4 Pro 2 as it is not one of those. The Pro 2 is the next design generation RS4.
I will look tonight - I *may* have a Futaba Magnum Sport controller under my bed (LOL!). If I do I will throw that in.
I know I don't have a receiver though. I have 3 Futaba PCM radios and 8 PCM receivers that I install in my cars. I then just swap crystals and use the same controller. That is why I don't have a receiver or controller for this car.

I'll give you a special "Mods" deal on it Mike.
I also found a Futaba Magnum Sport controller I will throw into the deal if it sells for $175 or higher. This will make the "items needed" a receiver, crystals and battery charger.

I may be interested in this. I was looking to get back into R/C cars and was just considering getting another Nitro car. You wouldn't happen to have a nitro one for sale would you? Also, what kind of trades are you looking for? I have all kinds of stuff sitting around.
No nitros for sale currently.
Trades? I dunno - what do you have? I am not interested in car parts unless they will work on a 1994 Mustang Cobra. Some things I am thinking about:
- Sony HiFi VCR full size (black 17" wide)
- Sony PS2
- CD head unit that reads MP3s
- Non-oval 1/10th scale or 1/12th scale RC pan car
In general I am a ***** for electronics and computer shizzle. Let me know what you have.
