I have a 35mm wastegate and in the process of solving my no boost problem...my bov works cause i can hear it when i rev the engine-the problem has been no boost....
i have already checked my charge pipes and intercooler, no leaks....
today i took off my tial wastegate...hooked it up to a compressor and blasted the thing...it opened up...when i hooked it up to the compressor it stayed opened...i wasnt sure about the psi since the lowest setting was around 15 psi.....could my tial wastegate be the problem???? is the opening of the wastegate my boost lost???? this is the last item that i am checking to see why i am not reading or feeling any boost....

450cc with safc
msd 6a

if your wastegate is open at idle then it is your wastegate. i have the same problem with my deltagate wastegate that's why i'm buying a new 38mm tial wastegate. my seals were busted and it wasn't seating all the way when closed. this caused me to spool slow and lowered my boost from 10 psi to 7 psi max.

if the wastegate will not open when on vehicle, you will recieve an infinite amount of boost.

your problem lies elsewhere.

I checked my bov and charge pipes-what is causing no boost pressure???
I am doing a compression test tommorrow to see if numbers are correct..when i take off charge pipes and rev engine-there is hardly any air coming from turbo....is that normal???

 

i used a bike pump to pump air through the turbo and into the intake manifold. I found my leak from a cracked vacuum line and hole in the EGR system..... i replaced the vacuum line and ripped out my EGR system.. no more boost leaks..
