That sucked! No one ever tell me about the meet. And I had my rice tail lights off for a long time already in preparation for the next meet...
was the meet arrange by mailing lists, or words of the mouth?

 

i had a great time... max told me about the meet... so i went with him... honestly... i wasnt expecting to have as much fun as i did... and it was SO NICE to see some nice cars and cars done right! met a bunch of cool people... not one set of indiglos or altezza's! something i would definately do again...

 

yes it was lots of fun....

 

We are thinking of going with PDA ( http://www.imp-auto.com ) Sept 8th. at Limerock. All are welcome. I will be doing my first PDA event at Pocono in two weeks, I'll let everyone know how it goes. Again, thanks for everyone who showed.

 

Thanks for the shout out. Wish I still had the R to represent. I had to leave early because of the jealously, j/k.

Awesome Day guys,

I had alot of fun. Even though it was slow starting at the dealership, it picked up and was a blast when we go to the park. Wonder if that Trooper EVEN thought of pulling us over without backup? Saw lots of looks and stares all the way from the dealer to the park and that lady at the booth was laughing uncortrollably after seeing so many of us.

All in all it was a Safe "kinda," Fun "definately" day. I'm glad I got the free time to enjoy our club. Now I can't wait for the track!

Limerock is Sept 8th...I am doing August 11th (only Sat, not Sun) at Pocono. I haven't sent my money in yet for the 8th. I should do it this week. ( http://www.imp-auto.com )

 

there is no set deadline for sending the money in. when/if it fills up, that will be it.
the cost is $175 for non-members.
i just would like all who do register to post it here. it would be nice to see how many have decided to show and are confirmed. maybe we can set up a caravan or something. ie: all those from ny meet somewhere and drive there together, set up in the paddock together. last time @ poconos the R's were scattered around in the paddock.

Anyway, is there possible for PDA to put all ITR in the same run group ??
I know we don't have enough cars to form our own run group....but I think it will be more fun if we can run together

i don't know about us all running together. some have more experience than others. IMHO, it's also fun to have different cars on the track. last time in the beginners group there was a porsche, vette, itr, miata, vw, celica, eclipse, etc......
it was fun.

we definately should park together though, and take pictures of cars running on track while others are parked.

Run groups all depend on experience level. Also, a caravan to go up will be cool. I know some backroads to get to Limerock and we can act like rally drivers. WHOOHOOO !!! dodging cows and everything !!!

 

Rodney gave me the heads-up on the meet. Unfortunately, I decided to go only around 3PM (to take a break from working) and arrived at FDR Park 20 minutes later. I cruised the parking lots but could not find any other Rs! Maybe everyone had left the park by that time, or I missed a lot or two (this was my first time at FDR). I figured the park couldn’t be that big

Oh well, next time!

Nice to see everyone again and meeting the guys.

We need to do that again! (especially some more of that precise highway driving technique we all seem to naturally have)...hehe

Yeah 13 R's and a yellow S2000 all traveling at 90+ and some 120+ was definetly impressive to say the least. A little dangerous, but quite a thrill. I felt like we were on the autobahn. The chorus of AEM's and exhaust buzz was intoxicating.
