Know anyone with a 951, 944S/2, 928 or 968 who wants to race?
We've got a new class in the 944 Cup for these cars... please spread the word.
The new Super Cup Class is open to higher horsepower cars classed as SCCA ITS, PCA Stock E, F & H, Prepared D, F & G. All other details are identical to the 944 Cup class we currently have. The cars run the same events with us and the point system, weight rewards, safety requirements are all the same, but obviously seperate. We already have a few guys scheduled to run with us at VIR in August but we're looking to grow the class. If you know anyone that tracks any of these cars please point them to the 944 Cup website or have them get in touch with me. Per NASA, they can run one race with us with a different organization's competition license before making the plunge. Thanks for your time.

I look forward to watching some fast b00sted porsches on track.
one question, how does this affect which race group you guys run with? Will it be big bore and would the speed differential create any problems?

I've recently acquired a 1955 550 Spyder, would I be able to run with you all?
apparently it used to belong to some guy that's in this picture... but whatever.

edit: damn, i'm bored...

well.... the hope is that we'll get our own group... but that's up to NASA. So far, we've got 22 cars committed to VIR so maybe if we get around 30 cars they won't be able to put us with anyone else.
edit: the faster cars really only knock about 3 seconds off our faster guys and about 10 off the slower driver so they'd catch them about 2/3 of the way through but we're using to everyone being faster than us so it's kinda a non-issue. The Miatas are the only one's who are really quite similar to us so this weekend was a nice change of pace.

He's been doing DE's for a while. He is in the process of prepping the car for club racing with the PCA. I showed him the link for the SuperCup and he showed interest.

He can transfer a PCA license or he can go for his NASA license at a comp school.... whichever is easier for him.
