Default F2 Steering Head Bearings

Does anyone have a DYI on this? I was told that I needed to replace them soon and just found a great deal on EBAY. Can the work be done from the top or does the whole lower assembly need to be removed?

Hmm what do you mean by lower assembly? the fork? yes, you will have to completely remove the front fork to replace the head bearings. You should get a Honda service manual if you want to do it yourself, but if you haven't ever replaced head bearings before you should probably have it done at a shop. If you get them in wrong the bike will handle like crap and tank slap like hell - could be very dangerous. good luck.

Thanks. Bike is in the shop as we speak. I was asking that question because I needed to know if I should take the plastics off before bringing it in. Bought the bearings on EBAY for $10 and they are charging me a buck and a half for the labor...not bad I guess.
