debt. If you can pay the bike off within the promotional low/no interest period then go for it. If not, 18-22% is not something I would consider reasonable. I'm considering selling my 6r if you're interested.

damn you must have that platnum card, because that is a lot of money on your credit card... and yes no matter if you take a loan or you have a credit card payment you have automatically added debt to your self .

grow up, you sound like this is the first thing you've ever bought in your life. Save up some money and get everything else in order first. Buy a beater bike to learn on. Some decent gear. Maybe stop freeloading at home? Save yourself the trouble and don't get yourself a conversation piece you can't use or afford. You could probably finance a yamaha through one of their promotions but it doesn't sound like you have much credit

Teacher... do your homework. You are not going to find either of those bikes for 5 or 6 thousand unless you find a beat used one. You are going to be able to get one out the door for 8 at the cheapest. Honda is running a promotional deal right now with a fixed APR for the entire 5 years. Its something like 3.9. In your case I wouldnt get the bike. Save up an ample amount to put down, then make sure your job is set in stone, and have something to fall back on. Otherwise if something happens you will have damaged credit really quick. Goodluck man.
