Default oil change?

i have 1600miles on mobil 1 synthetic oil. drove to expo, race for about 75-80 laps..180 miles maybe? should i change out the oil or leave it in for another 1400 miles?
I cant bring myself to change oil out so quickly when it cost 5 bux a quart..on the other hand, i dont wanna keep bad oil (if its bad) running in my engine...

If you watch the Best Motoring Video "Type R legend".......The CEO of SPOON talks about the engine and how to maintain the engine if you drive it on the track...His quote was "Don't put expensive motor oil in your car, It isn't Wiskey." Mobil 1 is good oil but you don't need to change it that fast, change it at 3,000 miles. Synthetic motor oil is suppost to last longer then regular. Just do what the dealer tells you to do. Just my .02$

The standard rule is, change your oil after 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first.

I stretch it a bit to 3,750 miles so that it aligns with the other service intervals on the car. So for me, it's more like 3,750 miles or 4 months. And I do that routine regardless of how many track events are included during that period.

I just changed mine at 2,900 miles. I usually try to change my oil before 3,000.

Rule of thumb try to change every 3000 miles unless on heavy conditions for example racing and long hauls then change it early. And its up to the owner and judge and feel the grade of the oil when checking making sure is not water like feel.
Yes Syn oil does last longer and once again all depends on the conditions.
SAFE BET change oil every 3000 miles. Just pay attention to sales on Castrol or Mobil.

You don't have to change all the oil just because the level is down; you're allowed to add oil in between changes. When I am a quart low at 2,500 miles, I add a quart. But I don't change all the oil until 3,750 miles.
