Wiring up city lights....
ok, I used the seach button smartass, yet I garnered no info...(or maybe I was too high to use it right
)
I'm gonna wire my city lights to come on as my park lights, and make my park lights my turn signals only...
If I splice in on the power wire for the signal, then cut it to the signal itself, will it still function as the turn signal with the other connection and a ground?
I'm gonna ground my city light seperately, so each bulb will have a hot and a ground...It should work, right?
forgot to mention it was on a 00 EJ coupe if it matters....

yeah, it was pretty easy, pulled the pin out of the turn signal socket that had constant power, and used it to power the city light, with a common ground with signal bulb. Now when I cut on my park lights, my city lights light up without my turn-signal lighting up, yet it still functions as a turn signal, just like the EK CTRs do...

i finally got my city lights wired up. they look pretty phatty...
but unlike Mildly Interesting, i left the original parking breaks to stay on along w/ the new city lights. i dunno, just personal preference i guess.
i tapped the red wire of the plug of the city light to the red wire of the parking/signal light (the constant power one) using a clip on tapper and for the ground, i used a crimp on round terminal and just grounded that to any metal spot
of the inner fender area using a self tapping screw. i sanded some of the paint off to get to the bare metal before i tapped it on there. i coulda just used the original ground(black wire) of the parking/signal light assembly but i thought it just looked cleaner the way i did it and works great. whola!

ok so when your headlights are on, your ambers are off (meaning there is no constant on the amber light when the headlight is on and it only blinks when you signal)?

I wired mine to the power wire on my radio. They come on with the first click of my key.
