94 LX Auto Tranny min-dillema
I just bought a high-mile 94 LX Accord Wagon. The tranny shifts great but acts a little goofy on the highway. WHile driving at (lets say 70), it will jump up 200 RPM............and if I give it gas, the RMPS will jump back down 200 under load. It's fine around town, but occasionally does this on the highway. Yes, the fluid is topped off and it doesn't seem to be slipping. ANyone else had this? The car was well cared for by a 70 year old woman..................
Thanks
Thanks
change the fluid
my car does that when going up a hill... the 1994 and newer cars have grade logic so the tranny will try to hold a gear and one way it does this is to release the lockup on the torque converter... this is to prevent the car from going back and forth between 3rd and 4th gears when climbing hills and what not....
