Default Is This a Good Buy?

This guy that i met is selling his 92 600CBR with 15k and change on it. He said its bone stock accept for they redid the tail end and there is a crack on the front fender. Good deal or not?
I am also currently 16 and my parents are iffy about me buying a motorcycle but i am not like every other 16 year old male, i know how to contorl my self. I am about to check on insurance and see if it is even worth it. But please imput about the bike or would it just be better for me to buy a brand new one? (ive always wanted a motorcycle and have had ONE but it was a 76 yahmaha 100 and wasnt like what i realy want, and i have a job and this is all my own money, just an fyi)

you won't be able to afford insurance if you can find anyone to cover you... Sorry

in addition to what Tony said, you didn't even say the price... even then, a 600cc sportbike + a 16yr old kid = bad news, IMO. Why don't you get something like a Rebel 250? That's what my friend's little bro started out on in high school when he was 17.

i got so obsessed with making sure i got all the information he said into what i said that i forgot the price. He said 2500.
and by the way, just cause im 16 doesnt mean im a dumbass and 250 is a very small bike and ive driven and control much bigger. I also talked to my insurance company and they said somewhere around $231 for a 12 month insurance period.

HA! i wish 230 was full coverage, but eh, pay for what you can. And i dont think 8K is to bad even with my taco bell job. But i do suggest a downpayment and also id find out how many months youd be paying it over and check out the avg cost for your self and then decide. It all depends on you and how much you make.
