OK my crx project that i bougfht a few months ago is going great. Got a a nice b18a ready, custom fornt and back seat install. But yesterday i was walking by it and got sick of the flaky dull paint, so i though ok ill spend a few hours and sand and repaint at least the hood. 8 hours later!!!! And the hood stillw asnt even sanded all teh wya. NOw the reason is, i started to sand it with 40 grit , only to realize that the paint wasnt really coming off, it was more of gettin g hot and melting sorta( not very typical for auotmotive paint) So i got looking at it closly with a friend, and we noticed it weasnt paint, it was goddam rubberized undercoating that was so dull it just looked like a bad paint job. Long story short that **** is very ahrd to get off a body panel!!!!

 

dang that sucks. why would anyone do that to a car?
