Default Custom Painting, i.e Side Skirts and such

I know everybody's got their side skirts painted. I've painted mine, but I've tried to paint it alread with coats and coats of paint primer and clear coat and it still chips and cracks. Some are made from the occasional food kick, and some naturally. Mud flaps chip as well.

Does anyone know how to get that factory finish, or something close?

I might result to coating the parts with a rubberized compound instead of primer. Primer is just paint, it will come off as well.

sand them down real well and then wet sand with a real fine grit. the primer your using is prolly the cause of the chips and stuff so fine something made for rubber compunds and it might work better.
