Kumho tires?
Anybody have any comments on these tires? I need new tires and they are the cheapest around. Don't have the $ for the RE010's to put back on there right now. I don't think I would anyways cause they wear out too fast and I drive the **** out of my car. Has anyone bought these tires and liked them? Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
I can say from experience that if you drive hard the 712's aren't for you.I have 29k on my car I have had re010's,potenza 730's,sp8000's and the 712's.I currently have the 712's I will be taking them off soon. They make too much noise and just don't seem to grip like the others. The re010's are just too expensive. So it is a toss up for me between the Dunlops and the bridgestones.Just my $.02
Thanks for the reply. Not sure what to do. My car has a flat tire right not and been sitting in the driveway for a few day and I need new tires fast. I will probably go with the 712's just cause of $ reasons. Oh well, I guess I will fond out sometime.
I've been running on 712s for some time now. I'm not sure I know what you mean by noise. If you mean that they are a little squealy at the edge of traction, yes they are. However, if you are always driving on the edge of traction daily then I am not sure why you should be complaining, as I am sure that tires must only last you a couple of thousand miles.
As for other noise, I haven't really noticed anything extra over the Potenzas. In fact, I've noticed that they make the car feel just a little bit softer (could just be tire pressures).
I've had no complaint about my Kumhps, especially in the wet. These things kick total butt in the wet, especially in standing water. It feels like I can get a very high percentage of their dry traction when it is wet out, as opposed to the Potenzas, when I nearly slid into a mini-van that cut me off one day while it was raining.

They are softer due to the sidewalls. After driving on sp8000's they feel like crap.As for wet traction i'll take the 730's.Now that you put it that way I do drive pretty hard.Between the cost of oil, brakes and tires I gues I should stop
They are good for $57 each. You get what you pay for though.
