Just bought another 89 SI with number 4 crank broken.... found a 31,000 mile D16A6 and changed the intake and exhaust, put a new battery in and it turned over just fine. Installed the old distributor then new plugs and wires, now all I get is a very fast flashing and clicking of the "Check Engine" light! ECU, Distributor or 02 sensor? This is the 4th swap I have done and each one simply cranked over and off we go...

HELP! I sure don't want to mess this up...

count how many times it flashes??

then see what code it is.

 

Just keeps on flashing with no end to it, very fast, (I can't count that fast), matbe a short somewhere?

Still scratchin my head..

 

I'm not looking at the ECU, just trying to turn it over and it is the "Check Engine" light on the dash...
