OBX headers
On http://www.obxracingperformance.com they have a "Honda Accord V6 stainless steel/ Ceramic Headers" and a "Honda Accord V6 Racing Headers". I was wondering what is the difference between these two?
thanks
thanks
no idea about the difference
i had an obx header with a 2.5" collector on my h22a when I had an accord, it did the job nicely
not the best, but not the worst either, the 2.5" collector woke it up

the word racing, type R, doesnt mean sh_t. it just to attract people.
Ceremic is the material and the coating of the header, it's like silver.
The Ceremic and Stainless steel are most popular material for making header.
Ceremic-cheaper
SS-more bling factor, $$

I used to sell OBX when I had my business. A lot of their stuff is decent quality, and the headers are pretty good.
The coatings on the outside are the only difference. The stainless steel are all shiny, and change colors when they get hot. The ceramic coated ones are more of a greyish color (unless they have been coated a different color) an don't change colors. The stainless are more for show, and the ceramic are supposed to disperse heat differently...I never really noticed a difference except on the stainless they would look rainbow colored wherever you touched them w/ your fingers...

Time to clear this up. iam7head is correct. Only Comptech, and OBX make headers for the AV6. The AV6 has a pair of headers. The types 4-2-1, and 4-1, in which you see for a header on a 4-cyl engine, are not present with the AV6. There are only 3 flasks (guess that's the term for them). Ignore the Acura engine in the pic below. Just to let you know, the AV6, TL, and CL each use the same type of headers. On the right is a pic of the headers made for the AV6.
