NEED HELP!!!!!!
i just did a zc swap in my 91 civic hatchback. i got the ACT xtreme pressure plate, and the performance organic street disc. im using that with my dx tranny. i got everything to run, set it on the ground but it wont let me put the car into gear. i figured out that the clutch wasnt dis-engaging, so i ripped out the tranny and checked the clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing--everything was fine! i then called ACT and they said that i could have a flexing problem. i bought a new clutch cable thinking that was it but it was not. somewhere in between the clutch pedal and tranny it is flexing. does anybody have any suggestions or ideas? has this ever happened to anybody? any ideas would help, because i need to get the car running asap. thanks---
this has never happened to me but what I would do is open the hood and pull on the lever to engage and disengage the clutch if this works the the problem is in between the pedal and the lever if it does not work the you put something in wrong
I agree with what EVOCELICA said, but also you can just pop the hood and have someone look at the clutch arm while you press the pedal. If it isn't moving enough, its probably in the pedal assembly. If it is, its probably the clutch assembly.
