Personally I've been pretty satisfied with stock braking system both in my remix and big red delly-O. Both cars has the 10.3" front brakes with ABS setup.
With good track pads (such as Carbotech P+, XP, CF GT-Sport, or even Raybestos CE's) the performance has been very good. Many people with expensive cars that rode in my cars are always amazed at the braking performance. Although, I'm known to brake hard and very deep into corners. I haven't even add brake ducting (I really should).
So I was just curious about what you guys do on the front brakes.
PS: to the people that voted, please briefly describe your experience and thoughts. Thanks. Ie, have you already tried sports/race pads before you made teh switch?

Frank,
I'm running the FastBrakes setup I bought from you, and I could not be any happier. So far, its only been for the street and autocross, but the pedal is light and super easy to modulate, and I've had the rotors blue, and still had tons of brakes.
Gotta love it!

You described your own solution - a correctly executed duct system.
The whole point of brakes is to turn kinetic energy at a macro level (the moving car) to kinetic energy at the molecular level - heat. That happens at the rotor/pad interface putting heat into those parts (and the calipers, fluid, balljoint boots, etc.) Convincing air to take up as much of that heat energy as possible will make all the difference in the world.

Dr. K is entirely correct.
One more important thing!
Cooling air makes the brake pads last a LOT longer!
In my experience threee times the pad life can be expected on the track

I have the Front 11" upgrade from Fastbrakes. The one that use the 'Teg caliper.I use Hawk Hp+ pads.
I do some road racing but not at competition level.
I really like that kit.It is probably a bit overkill for a Crx....but it does brakes better(well, with my set-up)
I tought maybe 11" would be able to take more abuse(read heat) then stocker(9.5")...but I know for a fact, that for 2 times,I did warp them!
I use a 15/16 Master,ss braided lines,Motul 600 fluid.
Even w/Hawk on stock dia. disk,I really can't compare my braking capability against Fastbrakes vs stock.
A pics!

I swap to gsr front and rear disc conversion on my hatch. (Cobalt rotors with Axxis ultimate pads, ss lines, 1" master with Valvoline brake fluid.) Car feel like it will stop on a dime. VERY happy with this set up

Fastbrakes pseudo ITR setup in front and 11" rotor upgrade rear on a del Sol VTEC. Axxis Ultimates. Valvoline synthetic fluid. SS lines. ABS retained. Purpose of this setup was to allow me to drive the car as fast as I want at HPDE's, without brake fade and without ducting. I'm sure a faster driver than me can cook the Ultimates, but so far I've been very happy with the setup.
My install/experiences
Cliff Notes:
They are great.
They require far more maintenance than stock brakes.
I'm lazy, so i hate more maintenance.
I hate having to run 15s".
They have NEVER faded.
The squeal is kinda unbearable (they are NOT hitting the wheel).
I think that's it.

i still run my stock 9" setup and rear drums.. last year it held up fine to a couple lapping days but back then i still had the d15 in.. i'm curious how well it'd hold up with a set of p+'s now that i've got about double the hp that i used to..
on my 92 hatch i run
GSR mastercyilder, booster, proportioning vavle, Valvoline synthetic fluid, SS lines all round, GSR front kncukles with ITR rotors redrilled (with fastbrakes spacer to center the rotors) and ITR calipers and brackets with Carbotech panther pads, the rear is jsut GSR setup with carbotech Bobcat pads.
I can lock up RA1s, so i think thats plenty
I LOVE my carbotech pads, proably won;t be buying another brand of pads ever again

stock rotors and good pads and good brake fluid. No need to increase rotational mass. Sometimes going to a larger rotor is more hurtful that helpful. That's just my opinion. Don't get me started on the whole 'cross-drilled' rotors thing either.
Anyone interested in Baer Claw 12.5" BBK, new and unused? Won't fit within the profile of my 16" VS-04s...email me mcsinc@silk.net
My street CRX-ZC has the '90-93 Integra upgrade which had a nice improvement and was super cheap (uprights, rotors, calipers, etc.) at $100 from a junk yard then $60 for a set of EBC Greenstuff (I know not popular here but 've had good luck for street and light track use). I just can't see paying the really big money for the brake upgrades myself, especially when they can be 1/3 to 1/2 the value of the car but then maybe I am just cheap.
My F Prod CRX must race on stock rotors and calipers with any pad (Hawk Blues for now) and I wish they'd allow some upgrade I think it is the weakest link on the car.

I have the Baer track front kit and the touring rear kit, on my '00 Civic Ex
Fronts
Rear
The car was built for show, but I plan on Auto-Crossing in the furture. Once the mag photo shots are done.
But, my only complaint has been the rear bias problem since the kit was bolted on. It still continues to have the problem, and I am going to install a '00 Si prop valve and see what that does. If that doesn't fix it, adjustable prop valve will be installed on the rear brake lines.
