Throttle response improved. The extra rpms makes the car more enjoyable to drive. Nothing bad to say about Hondata. This is for the Si by the way. Type-S owners enjoy it a lot more.

JUN JDM, you friends with LS60-1? He told me about your ride. I raced you in my Red S2K on Park close to Midway.

Has daily driving fuel efficiency changed with the Hondata Flash?

Here are the cons that have kept me from getting it, despite rave reviews from friends:

$600 is somewhat steep,
It voids the engine warranty,
Nobody knows for sure the long-term effects of the higher rpms on the balanced A3 crank.

Its something like investment, theres a different level of risk an individual is willing to take for the gains, and I'm not comfortable with the risk for those gains (at this time)

I'm not at all unhappy with the stock engine, but test driving a hondata'd Si might change my mind.

non-hondata si owner: i haven't gotten it yet because i am still not convinced that it will do the job on an already modded a3 (i/h/e). i don't like this whole "flash" idea. i want something i can program myself. i don't want to send my ecu to them everytime i do something to my car. if you want to do serious mods with an a3, don't get the flash. if you are bone stock and don't want to **** with bolt'ons get it. if you have a type s or a2 definitely get it.

Really? I cant imagine how any dealership would warranty that? Its running the crank beyond factory rev specs. Common knowledge says 'You broke it, You buy it'

I've searched the Hondata site for any mention, and didnt find anything. Please, educate me, since I beleive I could stay in STS with this mod...

please do tell about the hondata, i always wondered if you had aftermarket performance parts(i/h/e) if it would void the bumper to bumper warranty. what about if the car is a lease vechile?

Um, then there would be no point in buying Hondata. Yeah, lets spend $600 for basically a higher redline and MAYBE a 7-10 hp gain and NOT rev it high. That would just be plain stupid.

I also want to know if it voids the warrenty.

Only if the something breaks that is directly caused by the hondata flash.

And yes, this is a legal STS mod.

Thats pretty good then. So unless you rev the **** outta the engine everyday, than you should be fine?
