Today i was driving my wifes 96 Accord & I noticed that her AC doesnt get as cold as my 91 which has never been charged.
Has anybody ever gone out to like wal-mart & gotten that lil recharg kit that cost around $25.00. If so how much trouble is it to do my self ?
Is there any web site I could check out on how to go about doing this myself ?
this is the kit im looking to buy

no, i would not do a/c yourself.....because you dun know wats going on in the a/c system. and you dun know how much is it there, a/c have to charge to right amount in order to work properly.
either it is low charge, or have a leaks sumwhere, or you have out of adjustment heater core......
i would go to local a/c and have them diagnose it and vacuum the system and recharge it.

ive seen shops here in town advertising ac system re-charge for 19.99
i know people that have done it themsleves too though, dont let one guy scare you away from the task, just follow the instructions.

19.99 = for the r134a + $$$$$unknown labor.......= over 100$
u said dat u know sumone done it.......did it work, does it get cold?? how long it last......did they break anything.........
i do a/c job all the time,
when car in for recharge, i hook up the guage, to tell me anything in there. then i have recover it, see how much in there.......and such all the air out of the system.....then put right amount of refrigient in there.
a/c i would not do it at home, leave it to the trained professinal, w/ right tools, and equipment to do it......

take it to honda and have it leak tested since you do not know what you are doing.... that is the first thing I would do... if there are no leaks, then you can safely add a can of r134a. use a pressure guage and keep an eye on the pressure if it gets too high, a safetly switch will cut in and turn off the system....
Also the 94-97 cars have weak A/C units 98+ are a lot better
