HKS exhaust ? for EK swap

Default HKS exhaust ? for EK swap

OK, i have a 98 civic auto, goin for the auto-man and b16a swap, If i get the exhaust on my current engine y7, could it later bolt up to the b16a

If your engine is stock SOHC VTEC (the D16Y8) then yes, the exhaust will work. If you have a CX/DX/LX non-vtec (the D16Y7) then, no it will not work. Rick

how about the exhaust piping in a hks does it have its own resonator

Actually, the HKS piping will bolt up to the b16a exhaust manifold(header). Depending on the diameter of the piping and flange for the HKS exhaust, it might not bolt up properly. Then you would have an exhaust leak. You could take it to a muffler shop and have them put a new flange on it though.

Yes... The HKS piping has resonators built into it.
