engine won't start
I have a fully built b20 nonvtec with crower 404 cams and I can't get it to start. It tries but backfires. Can someone tell me what's wrong? Is timing off. What's the deal? I have a 11.5 to 1 c/r, crower 404 cams in a 96 hatch with obd2 to obd1 harness running a stock Ls computer. I did not rewire a14 to a12 because there wasn't a wire in a14 but there was in 12 so I assume maybe the conversion harness is already done for me so I don't know what's the deal. Anyways if someone has any ideas..... I don't want to **** this engine up if I'm doing something wrong. Oh BTW when it backfires it's pretty loud.

I did that. I was also wondering... On my injectors, does it matter what order they are in? I think I wired them backwards. Would that matter? I think I wired up the #4 injector in the number 1 spot and the #3 injector in the #2 spot etc.
Oh and when I'm cranking I hear compressed air coming out of the throttle body the first time the engine turns over and then it just keeps cranking but nothing happens. Can anyone help.
I figured out the prob. Timing was way off. It was fine when I had the engine on the stand but moved quit abit after installing it in the car. Don't know why. Hope I didn't bend a valve or anything.
