Default New Videos up on S&M Racing

I've got a few new video clips up on the racing videos section of our site, from Nelson Ledges Road Course in Ohio. All are external, hopefully i'll be able to transfer the in-car video to digital format sometime soon. Additionally, i've added a "what's new" section to the page, to help repeat viewers find what's been changed more easily. Please click on the link in my sig, and go to the SOLO II section/Racing Videos, or get there from the News section. Enjoy!
If you're too lazy to do that, i'll post a link to the vids page from here, don't forget to check out the rest of our site!

Your DIVX CODEC FOR AVI Video download has a virus in it.

There were 2 of them in the zip file. The icons looked like spiders with questions marks on them.

I just scanned the unzipped file and Norton did not detect anything... but the files are the Install and Mp3cnfg. When you click on the files off to the left where it shows the type of file and size it says they are "virus infected files". I think my Mcaffee picked them up.

I scanned with F-Prot, and my computer was completely infested with "Funlove.4099" virus. I've deleted the file off the server, and we're scanning it now. if you downloaded the codec, i'd recommend going to http://www.simtel.net/pub/pd/53464.html
and getting F-prot, it's the most powerful antivirus program i've ever found, and it's free to personal users. Sorry for any inconvenience....please enjoy the vids! And thanks again for the virus spot man, I really appreciate it...I did a search a few days ago (i already had that codec installed, had never run it before). Enjoy the videos, virus free now!

I'm far from an expert on antivirus programs, but back in college there was a nasty virus that had spread to just about everything, and the ONLY program that seemed to be able to even identify it, much less disinfect it, was F-Prot...McAffe and Norton were both completely useless, even with the newest definitions for both. I was impressed at its lack of overhead (pure DOS, baby) and comprehensiveness, back then it explained what every virus was. It just disinfected more than 600 EXE files on my computer (yikes!), and now there's no trace, and it hasn't returned. It's also very easy to grab the updates, as they're available from a myriad of FTP sites. It has kung-fu, and I dig it. Kinda sucks that this has become a virus OT rather than a "go see our videos" post, I apologize again to anyone who might have grabbed the infected .zip file (fortunately, it was gone about 7 mins after it went up, thanks to the quick spot. Let this be a lesson to everyone: HAVE A CLEAN BOOT DISK!!! (I had to run off a boot disk since FunLove was jumping into memory off the harddrive on startup).
