New to this forum....
any of you guys run at Loudon on Thursdays or SCCA on Weekend events?

 

don't know how many people you're going to find here that have run NHIS. I don't road race. I've been to a few HPDE's there. I have yet to go to the open track sessions on thursdays. I'll probably go in a couple weeks. Have you ever been? It's a fun little track. I really like it.

Ya, I have run at Loudon a bunch of times. Thursday practice days are a great time. You can come and go as you please and get tons of laps in. You should definately try it sometime. The course is pretty tight up high, and then lets you roll out onto the front stretch wide open. I'm a big fan.

 

they've had the double chicane set-up going for a while. I don't know if it's still configured like that. Last time I was there in late May it was. I haven't run it with either of the oval configurations.

Has anyone run the open track days with something other than the chicane/chicane config? I ran an open track day a month or so ago. It was fun, but it's not my favorite track in the North East. I do hope to do a few more this summer. Maybe the July 24 date? Anyone else?

 

I have run there with the double chicane and with out... both of my cars ended up in the wall.... make sure you have good brakes..... the first time the brakes melted off the car! the second time a friend took " one last run" and came back with the nose swayed... oh well.

 

any off you heading to NHIS on july 12-13? weather looks good for now.
