so that blocks your cargo space, what else does it do?

seems to me that with that kind of bar-age, a 4-point would do just as much structurally and have the added benefit of being a harness bar and rollover protection.

that is said quite a bit....4pt's don't bolt to the top...it's just 4pt's on the floor. if you're trying to reinforce a box, you don't jsut do one side.

I would probably never get one of these bar setups, but I'm sure the difference is noticable...more so than a 4pt cage.

So you can't have rear passengers any longer nor do you have much storage space?

Seems excessive for a street driven car.

The first photo - I agree - No using the rear seat etc.

But the second one, the rear seats seems to be alright. It uses a different top bracket.

I can't remember the last time I asked anyone to sit in the back. I might chuck some shopping in the boot. I think the shopping will still fit OK, but might have to loose the..... ( behind the rear seat, cover) WHATEVER it's called.

But it should stiffen it up nicely.

Tweak: The flex occurs in the chassis, and then forces the body to flex. strengthening the problem area (the chassis) will reduce flex far more than this crap. uses expansion foam in the "frame" rails and other areas will also do a lot more than these bling bling bars and wont kill any vehicle functionality.
