ok, its almost time to buy new tires.
and I'm pretty sure azenis' are the highest performing I could possibly get at their price.

but do they wear out really quick?

my current tires(nankang 195-50-15) arent all that great(not that bad..but not great either),
they dont grip super good, but are supposed to last pretty darned long.
now I have a feeling they didnt last due to my alignment(never got it done after I put on my suspension). So before getting new tires i'll definetely get an alignment.

NOW I am dropped over 2" with a camber kit.. but show little to no irregular wear.
(15x6.5 wheels probably help with that).

SO! how long do you think 205-50-15 falken azenis would last on my EG hatch?

 

it depends on how you drive
maybe 5,000 miles
maybe 100,000 miles.

 

ok.. lets say I dont do any burnouts/brakestands

I do tend to take corners fast.. and gas it alot

 

i say 15,000 - 20,000 maybe 25K

a friend of mine had his for a bit over 17K and its almost time to get new ones.

 

Ask the guys in the competetion forum. They know more about tires that anyone else on HT

on the average you will get out about 10-15k miles with some spirited driving. it all depends on the suspension setting and overall driving and surface you will be driving on.

 

They claim 15K miles.

 

not long enought to be kept stocked
i heard they are on back order for months now

 

my friend wore his down after only a month and a half. ive had mine for 4 months and still look brand new

 

if you don't get 20K out of them you are driving too hard.

Or your not driving hard enough.

i got 10k with a lot of autoX on mine.

well thats because you autoX.

not everybody with azenis do autoX. and if you drive like you should, you will get 20K atleast.

 

Why bother getting a semi-race tire that isn't so great in the rain if you don't actually put htem to use???
