Default Bumpstops on coilovers.. do they effect ride quality, lowness?

YEah I never cut mine, and i was wondering if thats why im not getting as low as some people w/ coilovers? then i did a stupid *** thing and cut some coils to get lower, but when i jack the car up, the springs drop down alot, and dont touch anything so that scares me lol.. would cutting the bumpstop in half help?

The bump stop will not have an effect on the height of the car say if if was standing still. The bump stop protects the shock from bottoming out.

you should trim your bumpstops cuz you dont wanna be riding on your bumpstops.

Yeah if you dont cut your bumpstops itll ride bumpier then when you actually use the actual shock stroke. I have my car dropped about like 2inches with h&r races and I cut the bumpstop in half on the second rib dip thing. I used the larger part.
