Default Should I Dyno now?

I have kind of built up my b18c motor and was thinking of putting in my itr pistons and porting the head out more before I dyno. What would you guys suggest? Here is the list of mods already:

Gsr head, mild port/polish .030 mill w/.043 gasket
Crower retainers, itr outters, portflow inners
01 itr cams w/skunk2 gears
skunk2 itr manifold
70mm itr tb
b&m fpr,aem fuel rail,nos fuel gauge set @40
jdm 4-2-1 2.5" collector
itr aem cai
aem pulleys
v-afc
2.5" cat w/mandrel bend piping
msd sci w/wires, iridium plugs
obd 1 skunk proggy

For all the mods, the car does not pull really hard at all (maybe its just me?) that is why I think I need tuning badly, but should I hold out to get the pistons installed?
Also what numbers on the dyno do you 'predict' with these current mods and also what do you think it 'could' be with the us itr pistons (std)? Thanks guys.....

i would tune it before the pistons just to get ur fuel/air ratio where u want it
then u will prolly get a nice pull and it will also let u know what type of numbers u are pulling.

then put in ur pistons. are they USDM or JDM?? i think every .1 compression u gain
2-4% power. whats ur compression now?

but looks like u on the right track with your mods. same thing i wanna do in the near future. i think with current mods u have high 170's to mid 180's. i see low 190's with the addition of pistons and more tuning. but get it tuned first.

Get your ride to the dyno. What are you waiting for??? You can tune the pistons when you get them. Your car should be pulling hard with the current setup.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go dyno first and hopefully get some good numbers, I'm hoping between 175-185. My compression now I believe is 10.6 with the mill and thinner gasket, I think the last time I had a compression test it was 220 all around. I have us itr pistons which I think should bump it up to 11.3-4 with my current head set up. I might even throw in the skunk2 valves to bump up cr even more (I'm not sure how much it would bump it up). My goal is to reach 200 whp or more with itr cams.

I dont know why yours would be higher, I wonder if it could be because your car is newer? Have you dyno'd?

Hey,

I don't think you can directly compare compression numbers, since the gauges may be diff and whatnot. What's important is that the cylinders are even across all 4, or that you test your car with the same gauge over time, does that sound right?

Also, I believe it's 4% HP for each POINT of compression, not every .1 My compression is approx 11.8:1 from 10:1 and I know I didn't gain 16%...

Tuning is everything. You'll see people with LOTS of mods making people with less mods. My car is untuned now, and I feel the potential, but know there is more to do. With your setup, you should be able to make 180+ or so I would think, and 190+ with the pistons. Just as a rough uneducated guess

Good luck,
