Default auto-to-manual

i bought a b16a2 with an automatic tranny( i'm only 17 and my dad didn't want me to get a manuel for some odd reason). Luckily enough the motor didn't fit as i planned and I'd be looking at about 2-4 grand for it to be hooked up and mounted correctly. NO ONE MAKES MOUNTS for an AUTO tranny. So I guess I have to get a b16a2 with 5 speed tranny. I just want to know if you guys like manuals over autos and why?? Everyone tells me I'm gonna get sick of shifting gears and I should just get an auto...what is you guy's opinions??And is it hard to do an auto-to-manual swap?

thanks,
bruce

Who's telling you this? Grandmas? I could never get sick of shifting gears. I mean, the times I do get tired of it is only in bad traffic, but I'm not usually in my manual tranny cars when I am, heh...

My hatch had an auto-to-manual swap. It was pretty straightforward. On EG's, I think you have to reweld a mount, not sure, it's been so long since I read up on this stuff...

Manual rules. with manual, its sorta like you could customise your speed. sorta. you could redline it for more top speed or just go under for acceleration. know what I mean? and who thell hell told you get tired? actually you don't. with manual you are more interactive with your car.
